Description Specs
Texas Power Bar

When I started lifting weights with Olympic bars back in the 1960’s, I noticed that there was hardly any grip. The knurling on these bars was so light when the bars were new, that now years later they were almost slick. The sleeves were held on to the bar with a threaded end cap and the inside collars were held in place with a set screw. Each sleeve consisted of three pieces.

The Goal was to create a bar that would have and keep a better knurled grip. A bar, whose sleeves wouldn’t slide in to the center. A maintenance free bar.

The Result - The Texas Power Bar

We are still using the same USA steel mill we started with in 1980. The shafts are center less ground, demagnetized and oiled to the max before shipping to Texas. Once at our production facility, we machine and then knurl each shaft to create a grip that is still the best in the industry. Texas Power Bars have different finishes available including black zinc and chrome plating. The sleeves are are available raw or chrome plated.

Big tensile strength numbers sound very impressive and we have them but, the proof is on the platform. Hundreds of state, national, international and world powerlifting records have been and continue to be set and broken on the The Texas Power Bar.

•1985 Fred Hatfield 1002lb Squat
•2007 Charles Bailey 1102lb Squat
•2016 Tiny Meeker 1102lb Bench Press
•2016 Yuri Belkin 992lb Deadlift at GPA World championship in Moscow
•2017 Joseph Pena 1025lb Squat at Texas High School championships.
•1994 Mark Hanlon and 8X Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman pulled 1200lb deadlift with the Texas Power Bar.

I ordered this bar 8 weeks ago and it still has not shipped. I also have not gotten any emails about my status and I can't even look at the status on the website because for some reason it doesn't appear in my order history.  I do have the order confirmation email I know the orders been placed. I also have sent emails that have been ignored. I have sent them a Facebook message and they still did not check on my order status or provide an update. These bars may be good but the company will take your money and ignore you afterwards.

I have been waiting for over 14 weeks and you all have not sent any update since July 16. All I want is a status update but you're not replying to my emails. Sorry if I seem """"whiny"""" but waiting this long and being GHOSTED by the company is incredibly frustrating.

The one star rating is for poor customer service. I'm sure the actual barbell is fine but I don't know for sure because I STILL DON'T HAVE IT.

5 of 5 Texas Power Bar July 28, 2020
Reviewer: Brett from Minneapolis, MN
I received my bar last Friday.  Total lead time from order to delivery was a little under 13 weeks.

The bar is very well crafted and put together, which was evident as soon as I removed it from the packaging. It was definitely worth the wait.   While the wait time is certainly long, it's worth being patient as this is a quality product that will stand the test of time.   This small business is doing the best they can in a time of unprecedented demand by their customers and unforeseen restraints on their production process.  Overall, I rate this purchase as 5 stars and look forward to receiving my deadlift bar and ordering a squat bar in the future.

Thank you

I gave it a 5 star because I've heard great things about the bar and I'm sure I'll love working out with it. However I'm in my second month of waiting and I've received no update on the status of my order. For those of you that have your bars already, do you mind letting me know how long it too to get it? Looking for an ETA to hang out to.
