Texas Power Bar
History

When I started lifting weights with Olympic bars back in the 1960’s, I noticed that there was hardly any grip. The knurling on these bars was so light when the bars were new, that now years later they were almost slick. The sleeves were held on to the bar with a threaded end cap and the inside collars were held in place with a set screw. Each sleeve consisted of three pieces.

The Goal was to create a bar that would have and keep a better knurled grip. A bar, whose sleeves wouldn’t slide in to the center. A maintenance free bar.

The Result - The Texas Power Bar

The shafts are center less ground, demagnetized and oiled to the max before shipping to Texas.
Once at our production facility, we machine and then knurl each shaft to create a grip that is still the best in the industry. Texas Power Bars have different finishes available including black zinc and chrome plating. The sleeves are are available raw or chrome plated.

Big tensile strength numbers sound very impressive and we have them but, the proof is on the platform. Hundreds of state, national, international and world powerlifting records have been and continue to be set and broken on the The Texas Power Bar.

5 of 5 Quality Barbell - worth the wait November 13, 2020
Reviewer: Fred Spence from Pflugerville, TX United States
Purchased the bare steel Texas Power Bar August 1, 2020. The website estimated 8 weeks, I received the barbell in ~12 weeks. Most definitely worth the wait (weight - lol). I've been working out with a cheap Chinese barbell since COVID started. Night and day difference using the Texas Power Bar. Well balanced and solid feeling. Couldn't  be happier with the barbell - and made in Texas!

I think the knurling is perfect. A lot of internet talk about 28.5 mm vs. 29 mm. The Chinese Bar I had was 29, I prefer the 28.5, the difference is subtle.

4 of 5 Worth the wait November 10, 2020
Reviewer: Ian from N/A
At first waiting of the bar got frustrating but with constant communication a few weeks after ordering I felt a little bit of ease. 3 months later the bar came in and worth the wait. Solid build and the knurling is great. Definitely would order again, just expect a long wait time. 4 of 5 Stars due to long wait time.

5 of 5 Exceeded my expectations October 18, 2020
Reviewer: Fonz from Southern California
First off I’d like to thank the staff for making it happen and producing awesome bars during these difficult times. I understand that the unforeseen circumstances we’ve dealt with this year delayed production, let me say that the wait is long, but the end product will more than make up for it. I’m really impressed with my power bar, and love the quality. That knurl is aggressive, which I personally like. I feel some soft people out there might be in for a surprise tho.

1 of 5 Terrible Customer Service October 15, 2020
Reviewer: Christian from Ewa Beach, HI United States
Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. I ordered my Texas power bar back on 7/16 and emailed immediately bc I put the wrong shipping address on file. I called and emailed month after month to follow up on the address change and the status of my purchase. Fast forward to October, I emailed them yet again threatening to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. Only then, did they contact me after over 3 months of trying to get a hold of them. They said they'll get my bar out this week and send me an invoice for the shipping. I emailed them again reminding them to change my shipping address and still.... nothing. Please save yourself a headache and stress and take your business elsewhere. Not responding to a customer trying to communicate with you regarding important information is absolutely unacceptable. It should not take me having to email and call constantly to try and get an answer. I'm never doing business with them again.

5 of 5 Great Bar October 3, 2020
Reviewer: Roman Artemyev from Richmond Hill, ON Canada
Took three and a half months from order to delivery. Wanted this one or Ohio power bar. Quality is impeccable and bar features are just what I need for the 4 lifts that i do. Ordered mine in June when everything was out of stock. Four months later Ohio bar is still out of stock and I have this one in the garage.
